Carbon Microelectrodes

Carbon fiber microelectrode isolated by glass. The electroactive diameter is 4.7 µm, the RG value approximately 3, and the length approximately 8 cm.
The carbon fiber is embedded directyl in glass and the surface is polished as a micro disc. No polymers and no glues are used in order to isolate the core of the carbon fiber. Therefore the electrodes can be used in agressive chemical media like acids and organic solvents (methylene chloride, acetonitrile).
