  • Tethering lab animals with fibers and wires compromises their freely-moving status for behaviour studies. Going wireless and fiberless effectively removes those limitations. Fi-Wi Optogenetically Synchronized Electrophysiology System features the opto-electric cannula with one LED and up to four recording electrodes, the fiberless and wireless headstage* for communication between the cannula and the control console, and finally the electrophysiology console that configures the stimulation and recording parameters and displays the real-time data. The recording tips of the opto-electric cannulas are custom made for specific experiments which ensure flexibility in recording and illuminating different brain areas.
