Multimode SMA905 Patch Cables for Optogenetics (Ø2.5 mm Ferrule)

These multimode patch cables are ideal for Optogenetics use. The Ø2.5 mm ferrule is perfectly sized to connect with an implantable fiber optic cannula, while the SMA905 connector can be connected to a fiber optic light source. These cables are available with a thin, Ø2 mm outer PVC jacket that protects the fiber. Additionally, the Ø200 µm core, 0.39 NA fiber is available with a Ø2.3 mm (0.09") flexible stainless steel jacket for added protection from the specimen.
Each patch cable includes two protective caps that shield the cable ends from dust and other hazards when not in use. Additional CAPF Caps for the ferrule end and CAPM Rubber Caps or CAPMM Metal Threaded Caps Fiber Caps for the SMA905-terminated end are also sold separately. If the fiber ends become dirty from use, we offer a selection of inspection tools, as well as fiber optic cleaning products.
