MAB 4/5 series of probes

The MAB 4/5 series of probes are thin CNS probes equipped with PES, Cuprophane or PE membrane. With membrane OD of app. 0,2 mm and shaft OD of 0,18 mm these probes make the minimal possible damage. Both MAB 4 membranes are 6 kDalton’s in cut-off but a major difference is that the PES membrane is dry. This means no flushing of the probe prior to use. MAB 5 PE membrane is 3 MDa in cut-off.
The MAB 4 series of probes are non-metal CNS probes with very fine dimensions. Available with two different membranes, PES or Cuprophane. Both with 6 kDalton’s in cut-off. This make them ideal for recovering the small neurotransmitter substances common in neuroscientific research. The PES versions are autoclaveable. Also here the inlet/outlet is made from PEEK while the shafts are made from polyimide tubing and fused silica. Below the probe head is a ”shaft upper sleeve”. This is for making it possible to hold and fix the probe around the shaft in a probe clip. Customer specified shaft and/or membrane length are available as well. The MAB 5 probes are designed for high cut-off microdialysis.
