The Safety Syringe Pump (PHM-108) has been provided as an alternate to the PHM-100 Syringe Pump to provide extra safety from an overdose. The input circuit allows the user to select the maximum dose time from 1 to 99 seconds. In addition the output circuit has two redundant “on” control circuits to compensate for a failure. The standard rate is 3.33 RPM, but other motors are available and can be changed by the user.
The PHM-108 pump is activated by a Med-PC® 28V output and turned on as long as the output= 0, thus the time on determines the dose. A safety stop switch disconnects power from the motor when the end of the syringe has been reached.
