Our new Rota-Rod design exhibits several enhancements over prior models, and incorporates features requested by users all over the world.
Key Features:
• Quieter motor, over 20 dB quieter than previous generation!
• Broader speed range, up to 100 RPM forward and reverse using Rota-Rod 2 software
• Direct-drive motor, eliminates noise from chain or belt common to previous models
• Textured running surface on the rod provides better traction, while minimizing the ability of the animal to grip onto it and “ride around”, and still safe on subjects’ feet
• Extended drop height encourages animal to stay on rod, minimizing the “lazy drop offs”
• Enclosed testing lane prevents animals that have fallen off from escaping
• Software control allows for programmable speed protocols, including 1 second speed changes, forward and reverse operation, and speeds up to 100 RPM
• Ergonomic design with removable waste pan facilitates cleaning
