The HTS100 has been designed to the study the affects of antidepressants in mice. It is similar to the forced swim test in that it is a learned helplessness model.
The Hardware package includes a control chassis for up to 4 test stations, power supply, related cables and the Tail Suspension evaluation software. This system is based on methods first reported in Psychopharmacology 1985, (85): 367-370.
It is capable of collecting simultaneous data from up to 4 HTS1001 Test Stations. The raw data is automatically saved for post analysis. User settings are provided for the test interval and to select the parameters for the post analysis filtering of the raw data.
