The Model 80850MS Narrow Gap Activity wheel is suitable for running rats or mice. It has been designed for animal well being and easy maintence. The Scurry design features a sensor/counter that is easily removed without tools and requires no special allignment. The narrow gap feature is provided to satisfy the needs of those labs wanting to run mice in the 14 inch in diameter wheel.
It is the gap between the wheel rim and the sides of the wheel support, and it has been reduced to 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) or less to prevent escape or injury to a mouse. All other specifications remain the same. Use Model 86115 "Rat" Activity Counter with this wheel whether running mice or rats.
