Thorlabs' Implantable Fiber Optic Cannulae are ideal for use with our line of Optogenetics Equipment and can be surgically implanted using stereotactic guidance. Our uncleaved cannulae have Ø1.25 or Ø2.5 mm ferrules and a Ø105 or Ø200 μm core multimode fiber that extends from the ferrule.
They are designed to be cleaved to any user-specified length before use. Stainless steel ferrules offer better glue adhesion, while ceramic ferrules provide a completely non-magnetic cannula and interconnection when used with a patch cable with a ceramic ferrule. We also offer ready-to-use cleaved cannulae with a variety of fiber sizes, ferrule sizes, and ferrule materials. Implant guides for the cannula sold on this page are also available below in packs of one or five.
