Free-Space Broadband Light Sources - SLS401

Thorlabs’ Free-Space Broadband Light Sources provide stable, high-power illumination. Our two Short-Arc Sources use either a xenon or mercury-xenon bulb with a color temperature of 5800 K or 6000 K, respectively, to provide illumination from 240 - 2400 nm. The SLS301 Quartz-Tungsten-Halogen source provides illumination over a wavelength range of 360 - 3800 nm, has a color temperature of 3400 K ± 15 K, and features an internal feedback system to provide highly stable output power (0.05% fluctuation). Since the blackbody spectrum of these sources spans both the visible and near-infrared spectral ranges, these sources are ideal for integration into optical measurement equipment, such as back illumination for a test target as part of a detector calibration system.
