Burleigh has introduced of the PCS-6000 Micromanipulator for electrophysiology research. The new Burleigh PCS-6000 adds motorized long travel to the popular PCS-5000 design, which incorporates piezoelectric (PZT) technology for ultra-smooth, accurate motion. The combination of motorized long travel and PZT smoothness gives the researcher total control, providing maximum productivity in patch-clamp experiments.
The Burleigh PCS-6000’s unique dual-axis capability offers researchers the optimum system for multiple-patch experiments. Stepper motors allow rapid coarse positioning to within 5 µm. ’s PZT expertise provides ultra-precise fine positioning with nanometer precision. Both aspects are accomplished with an ergonomic design that allows the researcher to focus on the experiment as opposed to the equipment.
